Dr. Alan B. R. Thomson is Emeritus Distinguished University Professor at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, and former Adjunct Professor at Western University in London, Canada. He is a past Vice-President for the Americas of the World Gastroenterology Organisation and a past President of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Thomson is a clinician, teacher and researcher, author of more than 700 publications and twenty books, and is dedicated to peace through medicine and the democratization of knowledge.
